Well we finally did get notice from our new agency, Holt International:
"I just checked our database and your homestudy approval date is 4/6/09. You should receive a letter from the Korea program I believe. So yes you have an official date, congratulations!"
That is most exciting news for us, it means one step closer to our little girl. As hard as it is to believe, we are overwhelmed with emotion thinking about having her home. If any of you have heard me tell the process of how we will find out who she is to when Jason and his mom go get her, you know, I cannot do it without crying. It is such an amazing thing to try and imagine. When we do get "the call" and officially accept her as ours, we will have to pay all $14,ooo at that point. So tell your friends that every $5 adds up. Thanks, as always for being a part.
Blessings, Jason, Meg, & the boys

happy easter
well, today has been such an enjoyable day. We were so excited to get to celebrate how Our Lord has Risen! with the boys. We ate chocolate, and searched for easter eggs, and listened to daddy preach! I am an avid reader of an online blog through our adoption agency and it is so exciting to see many many people getting referrals for their little Korean babies...we only hope ours will be fast as well. We should hear any day about our approval.
I cannot resist sharing the quote for the day from my youngest, "mama, I'm not gonna point my gun (dart gun) at you cause you are fragile...but daddy's not." Amen to that! Hope everyone's Easter was glorious!

No News Yet
hey everyone. we have not heard anything yet about our official approval for the program in south korea. It was such a hard decision to make to give up all of our time waiting (which is now 22 months) in china. From what we understand, we should receive a letter in the mail letting us know that we are approved and have a date from which we begin waiting.
Meanwhile, in the Edwards home, we have had one four year old Curious George Party, and have one 6 year old "Mississippi State" party...you read that right, all you Auburn fans. We are having a Mississippi State Bulldog birthday! In the midst of all the birthdays, we are really enjoying baseball. Both big boys played great last night! Our eldest hit an "inside the park" homerun, and sweet middle man, got a hit everytime. (He is playing up a year) Thanks for following along with us. We are so glad to have you with us.

Mark Richt Adoption Video
This is Georgia's head football coach, Mark Richt. The Richt family adopted two children from Ukraine and their story is told here. This story was aired on Gameday on ESPN. As an Auburn fan, I almost want to hug this Georgia man! Enjoy.

update
hey ya'll. We were so happy to hear on Friday that we are finally making a little progress in officially switching to Holt International for the international part of our process. We have been waiting on our homestudy to be updated and approved. We received an e-mail telling us that our updated homestudy has been mailed and should be received this week for approval. After that milestone, we can get on the official list and be called with an actual referral. Li
Life at home is so fun with the boys. I found myself saying several times in the last week, "no, you may not slam dunk in the den." (not too many families have a goal in the middle of the den). Thanks for following along, we appreciate it!
